Leaving on a Jet Plane

I just bought our airline tickets for our big move to London.  Yup- we're jumping the pond to settle for a few years with the Queen.  We've been praying about doing something like this since before we got married, and God's timing is now!
A bit ironic, but we actually are taking Air New Zealand- they had the best price.

We are very blessed to have an Ancestral Visa (Tony's grandpa was born in the UK) so we won't have the same difficulties that we've had with Tony's Green Card here in the States.  Basically, this Visa allows us to work and live in the UK without a sponsor.  So we're packing up and flying out on Feb 2nd.
As in less than a month.

I'm not sure how I feel at the moment.  Excited- yes.  Scared, nervous, a bit anxious, and mourning the sunshine we get 360 days a year- yes.  But we've prayed and prayed and prayed about it and have confidence this is the Lord's plan for us and that
He will go before us.

So, please keep up with our adventures via our Blog (we plan to make Downton Abbey one of our first trips) and most importantly, please be praying for us.  We want to have a smooth transition, of course, but we want this to be a great growing opportunity in the Lord for our marriage and as individuals.  I found a Bible Study Fellowship in our area, and Tony's e-mailed a few churches,
so we plan to dive right in.
Tony has a friend that lives about 4 miles away from Highclere Castle,
aka Downton Abbey.

We'll be living in Warlingham- about 20ish minutes south of London by train.  There's a Rugby Club (of course) and lot's and lot's of green.  I can't wait to look out the window and not see our neighbor's bathroom sink.

Please keep in touch.  We'll want to hear from our family and friends... E-mail, Facebook, Skype, Snail-mail.  We'll take it all!

Breakfast at Knott's Berry Farm

On Boxing Day (figure that one out American friend's and family) my parents took us all out to breakfast at Mrs. Knott's Chicken House at Knott's Berry Farm.  It's a tradition that dates back to when we were tiny kids and though it may be cheesy and a bit tacky, we still love it.  Even Tony joined in by telling me "I LOVE cheesy and tacky.  It's part of the fun!"

We sat in a room with a waterfall and Claire threw several pennies into the water.  I explained how you make wishes before throwing coins into the water then asked her what she wished for.
"More money so I can go to Disneyland."

She then proceeded to tell me that Mommy would wish for more bath stuff, Uncle Ryan would wish for Pirates, Gammy and Aunt Katie would wish for Fairies, and Uncle Tony would wish
"for you Aunt Cindy!"

We missed Randy and Taylor!  Randy was home sick and Taylor was taking care of him. Wasn't the same without them.
