Merry Christmas!

Tony was off Christmas Eve, so we had a quiet day and went to Calvary's Candlelight Service.  We had our traditional Stuck Family Christmas Eve dinner at Don Jose's (fantastic food, but you leave with the delightful oder of smoke and chili's stuck to your clothes).  We came back to Long Beach to turn on our Christmas tree and Skype the Kuypers Family on their Christmas Day.

Christmas morning was the most relaxing holiday we've had in a long time.  In the absence of a working fireplace (we have this pretend one built into the cabinets in our dining room...) we took advantage of the KTLA Yule Log on TV.  Coupled with the floor heater and a pine scented candle, we felt quite cosy.   We had a yummy breakfast that I had puzzled for days over- I was trying to create new family traditions and I thought "Christmas Breakfast, that can be a tradition."  After some serious contemplation, I decided that my Christmas Breakfast tradition would be to make something easy.  Pillsbury rolls and pre-cooked sausage- 18 minutes start to finish.  My kind of tradition.

After opening a surprising amount of presents for two people (thank you New Zealand Family), we headed off to the Stuck's for Christmas Craziness!  I kid you not.  There were babies, there were Santa hats that played music,  there were new video games that were hilarious to play (next time you're there, ask Mom Stuck to play Super Mario Brothers), there was wrapping paper flying everywhere, lot's and lot's of laughter, and, as with any proper Stuck gathering, obscene amounts of food.

I think this picture pretty much sums up the day.
We wore ourselves out with Christmas baby love.
